Healthy Minds Pilot Group #4

What is the NAS Healthy Minds Programme?
Working on the premise that ‘prevention is better than a cure’ we have developed a 2 day programme for families and an accompanying supporter which aims to help participants implement a range of strategies to offset any future mental health issues in children with ASD.
The focus is on building confidence, increasing self-esteem, reducing anxiety and developing resilience (BIRD!) in children building on the knowledge and strategies learnt on the EarlyBird / Plus Programmes.
Our next course will take place on Weds 10th October and Weds 7th November 10.00 – 2.30 at the EarlyBird Centre.
Places are available on a first come, first served basis for families with a child aged 5 – 11 years. This is a free course as it is still a work in progress, we are hoping to roll it out to families across the country from January 2013. Please contact us for an application form or if you have any further questions.
