Parliamentary inquiry into childcare for disabled children – have your say before 9th June

A parliamentary inquiry is taking place  to:

  1. Assess the extent to which disabled children and their families face affordability, quality and access barriers to childcare.
  2. Identify good practice and examples of quality childcare provision that promotes the inclusion of disabled children and young people.
  3. Examine potential policy measures to address these barriers.
  4. Make recommendations as appropriate.

There is awareness that finding good quality childcare for disabled children at an affordable price can be problematic and the inquiry is keen to find out the reasons why, what your experiences have been in finding and using childcare provision (good and bad) and what can be done to improve the situation.

If you would like to share your experiences, please complete the consultation at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/M63X2B8.  More information is available at the Every Disabled Child Matters website.
