New National Autistic Society Helpline Specialist – Exclusions Advisor

We have received some information from Andrew Cutting, the new NAS Helpline Specialist Exclusions Advisor.

His role has two main responsibilities:

1) to provide information and advice to parents, when a child or young person with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is excluded from school, or is at risk of exclusion. (through phone appointments and email enquiries)

2) To support professionals in early intervention strategies and good practice to avoid the need for exclusions (through a discussion group on Network Autism)
