Inclusive Sports Projects in Kirklees

Warm Water Swim sessions, Spenborough Swimming Pool is offering a warm water swimming session on Thursdays. This is suitable for weak swimmers/ those who want to build confidence. The session is held in the teaching pool. Please contact the centre directly for price. KAL cards and Plus One scheme (for carers) in operation. Tel. 01924 335140

The Federation of Disability Sports Organisations (FDSO) is in talks with the following organisations:

  • The Options Centre, Dewsbury, about running multi-sport sessions. These may include Boccia, New Age Kurling and Dance/ Exercise classes. If you are interested, please contact Lisa Huntley at the Options Centre. 01924 438239

Creating Connections Project
West Yorkshire Sport and Kirklees Council Sports Development have teamed up to launch the Creating Connections Project . The initiative, funded by Sport England, will ‘create connections’ between sport, the health sector and disabled people’s organisations to increase the number of disabled people (aged 14+) regularly playing sport.
