Autism Event for Parents 19th October 2017, York Racecourse – People with Complex Needs, Better Understanding, Better Support
As the project comes to an end, this celebration event brings together many of the people and organisations who have played a part, either by setting up activities or by working in partnership to help create new and exciting opportunities.

Volunteer Patient Helper/Supporter – Based at the Child Development Centre, Dewsbury District Hospital
| Locala’s Children’s Therapy Service is made up of a multi-disciplinary team which includes Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Play Therapy. The team work with children aged 0-16 years.
They treat a wide range of conditions using specialist skills, which could include: · Communication and/or feeding and swallowing difficulties · A delay or difficulty in acquiring physical, social and educational skills The Patient Helper/Supporter volunteer role is based in the Child Development Centre at Dewsbury District Hospital, Halifax Road, Dewsbury, WF13 4HS. The role involves:
