Volunteer Patient Helper/Supporter – Based at the Child Development Centre, Dewsbury District Hospital
| Locala’s Children’s Therapy Service is made up of a multi-disciplinary team which includes Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Play Therapy. The team work with children aged 0-16 years.
They treat a wide range of conditions using specialist skills, which could include: · Communication and/or feeding and swallowing difficulties · A delay or difficulty in acquiring physical, social and educational skills The Patient Helper/Supporter volunteer role is based in the Child Development Centre at Dewsbury District Hospital, Halifax Road, Dewsbury, WF13 4HS. The role involves:

Minimum period of commitment: 6 months (including a 6 week trial period)
